Typographic Content Review: Typography Around Toronto

This was difficult to photograph properly. Fortunately, a stoplight provided a window of about ten seconds to snap a couple of pictures.

Legibility:

The font used is decorative, but non-complex (even the wood etching detail doesn't appear to be very complicated). The only thing that might make it difficult to read is the structure of the truck (referring of course to those pesky metal rods running over the design).

Context:

This logo depends heavily on illustration. The text is drawn to look as if it were etched into a log, an appropriate visual metaphor for a company that manufactures wood products.

Colors:

1. Contrast:
   The brown and white are noticeably different but not nearly as harsh as a black and white logo would have been. The pale yellow background softens them even further.
   
   
2. Colors:
   I'd describe them together as soft.
   
3. Saturation:
   The colours aren't vibrant, but they're not very dull either.
   
   
4. Frequency of Use:
   Yellow blankets the entire truck, save for the cab (which you can't really see here anyway). The brown and white are seen on all 4 sides
